Kamloops Early Language & Literacy Initiative (KELLI)

KELLI provides early literacy information, programs and events for families with children from birth to age 5 in Kamloops and area.

Program Information

The Kamloops Early Language and Literacy Initiative (KELLI) offers the following programs and events

  • Parent-Child Mother Goose Program®
    A group experience for parents/caregivers and their children which focuses on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs, and stories together. *Please Note: Registration is required.
  • Family Literacy Nights
    Offer activities that support language and literacy development (Once a month from October – April alternating between Sahaliand Northill Mall).
  • ABC Family Literacy Day
    An event for families to experience crafts, storytelling, music, and physical literacy activities together (occurs in January).
  • Teddy Bear/Mother Goose Picnic
    A fun event for families with families, preschools, and daycares to get active and enjoy storytelling, musicians, theatre groups, and crafts (once a year in June at Riverside Park).
