Food Sense

Food Sense is a 6 week program designed to create healthy meals at low cost with increased nutrition. A variety of recipes are taught and techniques including how to cook from scratch and how to modify recipes for a higher nutritional content. The program has been designed by dietitians and educators and built on Canada’s Food Guide.

Program Information

The Food Sense is a series of kitchen workshops designed to make nutritious and economical meals in a group setting.

Food Sense is broken down into three components:

  • Culinary experience
  • Lessons in nutrition
  • Learn how to focus recipes on a nutritional value

Who Is Eligible?

Any community member is eligible.
