Volunteers can assist in gardening in the Food Centre garden or in a public park. Regular garden maintenance is required.

Volunteers are trained to assist in a culinary program that runs twice a month on Thursday evenings for 4 hours. The program focuses on nutritious preparation and preservation of healthy, locally sourced food.

Volunteers help organize and raise public awareness about the benefits of the program. Programs run for 12 consecutive weeks for three hours each session.

Volunteers would assist seniors by providing regular grocery shopping services or through connecting with a specific senior to provide a friendly check-in, either in person or over the phone.

Volunteers are utilized for the delivery of pre-ordered meals. Routes are divided into the North Shore and South Shore of Kamloops and deliveries are every Tuesday and Thursday.

Volunteers assist in food pick up points and bring the donations to the Food Centre for program use. Pick ups are scheduled at the end of the Farmers Market, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
