Interior Community Services is pleased to announce the Better At Home Program is now in the Nicola Valley. Better at Home offers an umbrella of services aimed to assist seniors, over 65 years old, in their independence by providing non-medical support services. Offered in partnership with the United Way Lower Mainland, this program will tailor our services to the senior population of Merritt. Interior Community Services staff, management and Board of Directors send their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Katherine McParland, Executive Director of A Way Home Kamloops. Her tragic and unexpected loss will be felt by the entire community. Katherine will be remembered as a fierce advocate for youth homelessness and for her tenacious and passionate personality. She was brave and brilliant and will be missed.

The Knights of Columbus donated $500 to Interior Community Service’s Youth Street Outreach Program that operates out of the drop-in Outreach Centre at 404 Seymour St. The money will be used to buy food and supplies.
